The first few weeks of school kicks off the 2005-2006 PTA Membership Drive. The PTA is the primary
service organization of our school. It is the goal of the PTA to provide materials and services
through our fundraising efforts. The following are some events sponsored by the PTA in the past
school years: volunteer breakfast, Harvest Festival, Holiday Float, Holiday Gift Shop, Ice Cream
Sundaes for Star Students, Workshops for teachers, Honor Breakfast, Teacher Appreciation Day,
additional supplies for teachers that, due to budget cutbacks are not supplied by the school
board, leadership and reading seminars for teachers, and student agenda books.
The membership fee enrolls you in the state and national PTA. The fee for a one-year membership
is a minimum of $5.00 ($1.75 goes to national and $1.25 goes to state). All monies over and above
that are completely for the Boca Raton Elementary PTA. This membership drive is one of the easiest
ways to become an active participant in your PTA and also gives you a voice and the right to vote
on any PTA action.
The membership donation helps YOUR Boca Raton Elementary School and is tax deductible. Anyone,
a friend, a family member, grandparents, or community/business leaders can become a member of
Boca Raton Elementary PTA. Especially teachers! PLEASE spread the word! When parents, school
staff and the community interact POSITIVELY and REGULARLY, their enthusiasm and interest
are transmitted to the children. The Boca Raton Elementary PTA has a lot of opportunities
for volunteers and is always open to fresh ideas. We need you.
